Greg Klyma Anniversary Tour

Special Guest Artist Jann Klose

Saturday, November 22 @ 8PM

Admission: $10 or free with a 2008 Passport

Crossing Borders is pleased to kick off a holiday Songwriter Series with a double feature on Saturday, November 22nd at 8pm, at the Lost Dog Lounge, 106 S. Cayuga Street. The Greg Klyma Cd Anniversary Tour show will be enhanced with a special guest artist 30 minute set by Jann Klose.

Greg Klyma is "the Rust Belt Vagabond" that his Cd is aptly named. Born in Buffalo, New York, the son of a garbage man in a blue collar town with a blue collar work ethic, Greg took that ethic on the road honing his skills of songwriting, storytelling, and musicianship along the way. The central theme of truth -his own shortcomings, the way we depend on each other, and the healing power of love - are the stuff of his material and Rust Belt Vagabond has earned well deserved acclaim, awards, and appreciation. After a decade of travel, Greg celebrates the anniversary of rust belt vagabond with a tour, stopping in Ithaca long enough for the broadcast on Saturday. For more information, go to: www.klyma.com or myspace.com/gregklyma.

He's the real deal, singing about stuff that matters.

...SING OUT!

He spins meandering tales on a long loved acoustic that brings us to the point where we realize the glass is half empty and half full at the same time.

...PERFORMING SONGWRITER

A 30 minute guest set by Jann Klose contrasts the working man story with a global tale. The pop singer-songwriter whose new album Reverie has been hailed as 'the best unsigned record in a long time' by Sirius Satellite Radio, is a creature of the world, and offers a stark contrast to the blue collar kid in Greg Klyma. Born in Germany, raised in Kenya and South Africa, and transplanted to Ohio as a teen exchange student, he ultimately relocated to New York and landed on Broadway. After touring in the national company of Jekyll and Hyde and the European Tour of Jesus Christ Superstar, he returned a second time to New York to pursue his songwriting career with passion and success. His 2003 Cd Blackbox has been liscened to the movie Dead Broke on Warner Bros Home DVD, compilation discs in overseas markets, and on Saab's 60th anniversary Cd in France. The new Cd is currently in touring mode and Jann has found himself relocating to Ithaca to the midst of the project flurry. The Crossing Borders appearance is the introduction of Jann to Ithaca audiences, that will want more.
